This morning as I was driving and very busy in my head. I was late and rushing to get to my hair appointment.  I heard a horn and looked in my rear view mirror to see that the lights were flashing on the ambulance that was coming up the middle of the busy downtown street.  I immediately pulled my car to the side and was in good company as every one else on the road did the same- we pulled into the margins and cracks so that someone in greater need could pass.

We all have people in our lives – family, friends, or maybe even an acquaintance who ride at times in the invisible ambulance.  We have to all step aside and put our own needs in the margins and cracks so that the one who needs a little extra attention and love can pass in that moment.  We don’t always have to know what it is that they are dealing with… after all so many wounds and terrible accidents have happened on the inside. We don’t have to solve that persons issues or problems… after all it’s their journey. But perhaps if you hear a honk and you find yourself looking in your rear view at someone who looks like they need a minute…  .. just pull over the car, put your needs aside for a moment… bless them, and let them pass.

You never know when you might need the same.
