Then what the heck is The Revelation Project all about if it’s not about the photographs?
QUESTIONS:
Why is so much of our self worth caught up in our image or in our appearance?
Why are so many of us so afraid of really looking at ourselves?
Why are so many of us afraid to REALLY be seen?
Why are we women asking permission from everyone to be beautiful, amazing and great and brilliant and powerful?
Why do we react the way we do to certain images of ourselves vs. others?
Why do we react to someone else’s images the way we do?
Where is our “reaction” even coming from?
It’s these conversations and more that make The Revelation Project compelling.
TRP does not hold the answers… we are simply here to ask the questions.
The photographs and the interviews are used as one avenue to explore, learn, and re-define our experience.
The women who participate in the project are essentially putting themselves out there OUTSIDE their comfort zone in order to seek their own personal answers to these compelling questions and to learn more about themselves and how they relate to the world.
Having a “revelation” is about allowing a SHIFT in the way you see yourself or your world.
In this case- we are “revealing” women and exposing conversations so that we can explore, redefine, and recreate ourselves, our lives, and maybe even the world in a more positive, and more self affirming way.
Join the Revelation. and please
share your thoughts!
