Tonight Kim and Andrea presented The Revelation Project to a group of investors and businesses, and they did a great job. Describing what our project is about and how it impacts those who are connected to it is an exhilarating experience.

In getting to the heart of this project, I am often reminded of this quote by Marianne Williamson.   I in no way intend to be trite, as I know that many are perhaps familiar with this piece as a conceptual novelty that merely points to an inspiring possibility instead of as an achievable state of being.

Tomorrow night we will celebrate another year as it occurs inside of The Revelation Project, and celebrate the twenty plus women that decided to show up this year daring to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous.  By letting their light shine, they inspired us with their images, their interviews, and their willingness to take a new look at themselves through the lens of what is possible.

As we bring this year to its expansive conclusion my intention is to hold dear each participant as women whom I will always admire,  respect, and treasure.  It takes tremendous courage to shine in ways that have nothing to do with vanity or ego and to explore insights and ways of being in the public eye and on facebook!  I consider these women to be entirely capable of great things in the world – not because they are perfect, but because they are willing not to be.

Thank you to each and everyone of you who have followed the project this year, and as we continue to expand, grow, and reveal our plans for the future- we hope you’ll continue to grow with us.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Monica, as I was driving home tonight, I was thinking about this very same passage by Marianne Williamson. It is all about letting our light shine, so brightly our eyes can’t take it all in, so bright the light is blinding to even God’s eyes, so bright we light up the night… and anything is possible.

I woke up to a very very similar message. To be at the place where you no longer have to prove anything to anyone but to allow your deepest self to come forward is powerful and can be filled with fear.

Here’s to another great year for the Revelation Project slaying fear for women and allowing their deepest selves to be uncovered!!!!!

Yep… sometimes I am afraid of my own greatness and what I might look like on the way… and my fear of looking foolish or ego-driven or failing sometimes paralyzes me- and then I realize it’s about being willing to fail, willing to be mis-understood, and willing to stumble – that vulnerability is what makes for my greatest access to love of myself and love for those around me. XO See you tonight!
