A dear friend of mine sent this to me today.  Don’t we all need this reminder at times?  What is it that holds back from taking a chance on life and worse, compels us to hold another back from their goals or aspirations?  Is it so that we can say “I told you so” – if they should not realize their dreams this time?  Should we not reach for that goal over and over and over until we finally touch it?  Does falling short mean that we should go hide under a rock and die?

Fail. Fail. and fail again. The real ODDS are this:  Odds are; that regardless of whether or not you ever reach that beautiful image you have in your head of what you want out of life- you’ll learn and grow so very much from the depth of the experience.  Your wisdom, and your compassion, and your courage will deepen, and you will know the richest treasures life has to offer… simply because you kept at it.
