When did we get so serious about the way we look and why do we relate to someone with a camera in broad day light like it’s an Ooze or an AKA Semi- automatic weapon being waved around at innocent civilians in a grocery store parking lot? ”Run! Run for your lives! Don’t get SHOT for god sake and please spare the women and mothers!!” Yeah, or something like that. A Camera can be a SCAREY proposition for a woman. (Please dear God let me see that one before you post it on facebook!) because we feed ourselves instead with images from TV and media that will always make us “unacceptable” in comparison.
There was a day a few months ago where we messed around just for the fun of it. We were gonna do our own “Revelation” session but decided after running out of time to WING IT and really FUNK UP and have some fun just making laughter instead of photos. We managed to document it and get some shots just the same….
We laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. Sometimes when we just let go of the outcome – we can truly enjoy a moment.
Boy. What freedom.
These are some of the fun shots taken that day of our photographer Kim who was a most amazing example of not getting too “caught up” in the headlights of an oncoming camera. I aspire in that direction….
